  Yellow is
the sun shining on sunflowers.
It is the color of bananas and apples
and lines of a rainbow.
Yellow sounds like a volcano erupting,
a flower waving,
a beep, beep, beep -
the sound of being squished.
Yellow tastes like beets, bananas and candy worms.
It feels like furry cows and velvet cheese sandwiches.
Yellow can quack like a duck.
It can fall on your shirt like french fries
and even do a magic trick.

  Red is
the color of apples and trucks and planes.
It is the color of cherry popsicles,
when Mom says its okay to have one.
Red is the sound of a crackling fire
or the buzz, buzz, buzz of a bee.
It tastes like apple pie, cherry pie, banana pie
and feels like a beating heart
or hot soup by a hot fire.
Red eats strawberries.
It can be the devil
and straighten your hair.
